Sean Conway is one of Weld County's At-Large Commissioners.

Despite all the presidential campaign talk of immigration reform, some state and local governments aren't waiting for federal action --they're taking on the issue.

That includes The National Association of Counties, which recently formed a task force on immigration reform.

With more than 3,000 counties in the United States, most of the co-chairs of this task force came from states that border Mexico. Except for one -- Sean Conway.

He is a commissioner in Weld County, where 10 percent of the county's population is living illegally in the country according to the Greeley Tribune.

He spoke with Colorado Matters host Nathan Heffel about working for national immigration reform.
