In the last couple of years, the Denver band “The Belle Jar” has grown from a one man show to six musicians. They’re still on a folk/rock path, but their music is blossoming into something more. The Belle Jar’s new album, Union Station, comes out July 13th. It has a wide range of moods and instrumentations, including accordion and violin. Ryan Warner speaks with band founder and lead singer Ryan James and bass player Matthew Vermillion.

The Belle Jar also recently visited the CPR performance studio. Check out the live recordings of these songs from OpenAir.
