As massive federal budget cuts known as the sequester were poised to become reality, Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner sat down with Governor John Hickenlooper at the Capitol to hear how Colorado may respond to losing those funds.

Also on the governor's plate this week are the recommendations of the governor's task force on implementing Amendment 64. Hickenlooper reacts to some of their proposals, including how to pay for enforcement and whether to allow residents of other states to buy marijuana.

The governor also addresses a proposed overhaul of school finance act, a new liability bill for high-powered rifles, and his continued struggle to decide how to handle his first death penalty decision.
