How the LGBT Rights Movement Began

A bill to create civil unions has made it through the State Senate, and, soon, the full House will weigh in. Its passage is a near certainty. Today, we’re going to take a step back to the late 1960’s and early 70’s, when the gay and lesbian civil rights movement really got going in Colorado. Glenda Russell came of age during that time. The Boulder clinical psychologist writes about gay issues and is working on a new book about Colorado’s gay and lesbian history.
