You may have already heard the music of Kyle James Hauser -- even if you don't recognize his name. He has two songs featured in the new film "The Big Sick." The Judd Apatow-produced comedy was a breakout entry at this year's Sundance Film Festival.

Hauser hadn't seen the film before signing off on his music's inclusion. But he's had music appear in television and film before. He also works for a Fort Collins organization that finds licensing opportunities for Colorado bands in film, television and advertisements.

Hauser has released two solo albums and is a touring member of Golden, Colorado bluegrass band RapidGrass. He spoke with Andrea Dukakis about "The Big Sick," teaching an online songwriting course for the Berklee School of Music and what listeners can expect from his next album.

Below, watch Kyle James Hauser perform "Love, Love And Pain" in the CPR Performance Studio.
