As Musical Director Takes Final Bow, CSO Looks to Future

Listen Now

Jeffrey Kahane is about to step down from his job as music director of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. For his last three concerts, beginning Friday, June 4th, Kahane will conduct Gustav Mahler's Symphony Number 5 and Mozart’s Piano Concerto Number 27— he’ll also perform that piece. Kahane replaced Marin Alsop as music director in 2005. A series of guest conductors will lead the CSO during its 2010-11 season ... that's while the hunt continues for a new music director. Ryan Warner spoke with Jeffrey Kahane and the orchestra’s president and CEO, Jim Palermo.
