Harold and Toni Henthorn
One of the last photos of Toni Henthorn taken when she was alive at the beginning of the couple's 2012 hike in Rocky Mountain National Park.

"The Accidents" by Caleb Hannan is a true-to-life murder mystery that's stranger than fiction. The story follows Harold Henthorn, who was sentenced to life in prison for the 2012 murder of his wife, Toni.

Hannan tells CPR's Andrea Dukakis that Henthorn carefully planned his wife's death before pushing her off a cliff in Rocky Mountain National Park. The book also details the suspicious death of Harold Henthorn's first wife, Lynn, on a deserted road near Sedalia, Colorado in 1995.
