Ranchers, Meatpackers Split on Proposed Rule

The US is losing its cattle operations. In the past three decades, 41% of the nation’s ranchers got out of the business. And today four companies control a crucial aspect of the industry -- meatpacking. The Obama Administration is worried about what this concentration means for getting food to the table at a fair price. Attorney General Eric Holder and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsak are coming to Colorado to hear from people in the livestock industry, and they're likely to get an earful about some proposed regulations.
