Musicians from around the world flock to Austin, Texas every March for the South by Southwest Music Festival -- SXSW. During the week-long event, hundreds of acts perform all over a city sometimes known as the live music capital of the world.

This year, eight of those acts are from Colorado, including established Denver bands Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats and Tennis.

CPR OpenAir’s Jessi Whitten stopped by to talk about the less well known bands headed to Austin this year. There’s Blake Brown & The American Dust Choir, Boulder singer-songwriter Ashley Koett, Brent Cowles and more.
