Startups in Colorado Failing at High Rate. Is that Bad?

Listen Now

Colorado is known as a hotbed of entrepreneurship. There are more new businesses created on the Front Range per capita than in most other parts of the country. But the news isn't all good. Colorado startups are more likely to fail early on than small businesses elsewhere in the country, according to a recent report from Colorado State University. Then CPR's Elaine Grant talks with Brad Feld, a venture capitalist and co-founder of TechStars, an accelerator based in Boulder. He's been called the godfather of the startup community there, and he says failure can actually help entrepreneurs be successful down the road.
