The region’s premier Latino theater troupe, the Denver-based Su Teatro, is marking its 40th anniversary season. The company has created around 30 original full length productions that have toured the country, including to New York, San Antonio and Los Angeles. Tony Garcia was there during the company’s formative period, first as an actor and, from the age of 23, as its artistic director. As Garcia celebrates his own milestone birthday, turning 60, Ryan Warner chatted with him about his evolution--and Su Teatro’s--over those four decades.
