Colorado has its share of ghost towns, mining communities in the mountains where goings went south. But Tin Cup in Gunnison County wants the world to know it's not one of them.

The year-round population tops out at three people, but the town's populace balloons by several dozen in the summertime. The area around the 10,000-foot elevation town is renowned for its off-roading. ATV fanatics flood Tin Cup during peak season, creating caravans that can be 25-vehicles long.

Tin Cup property owner Tom Carroll talked to Colorado Matters about how the town has held on, and how it's adjusting to the influx of off-roaders.
