Whenever it seems like the stakes couldn't get higher in national politics, they do. It can be exhausting to keep up with the headlines and tweets coming out of the White House, and it's NPR White House Correspondent Scott Horsley's job to deliver all that news.

Horsley, who grew up in Denver and graduated from Manual High School, spoke to Colorado Matters about how his job has changed since President Donald Trump was elected in 2016. He talked about how he tries to keep pace with the news as it breaks and how he checks his biases in his reporting.
