DIIV has released two critically-acclaimed albums since forming in 2011, the most recent of which was 2016's "Is The Is Are." The New York band's sound is a dreamy blend of indie, shoegaze and psychedelic rock led by frontman Zachary Cole Smith.

DIIV stopped in for a Guest DJ session before a show at Denver's Moon Room. The band started off with some of its own music before picking tracks by experimental pop maverick Ariel Pink, indie singer-songwriter Cat Power and '70s punk band Crass.

The four members also spoke with Jeremy Petersen about some of their favorite new music discoveries, covering music by the late Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse and the Instagram account dedicated to images of DIIV's socks.
