The guys who comprise Colorado trio Eye and the Arrow have not only performed together in various music projects, they’re also roommates. Forming a band made perfect sense. Not even one year old, Eye and the Arrow pulls from the experiences of being in other bands, including Paper Bird and Papa Bear, and hones in on a more focused pop-rock approach. During their OpenAir performance, the musicians chatted with Corey about a recent collaboration with local folk musician Patrick Dethlefs, the collaborative aspect of Colorado’s music community, and their punk rock roots. Hear the session—including songs “Prophet’s Home”, “Lights Down Low”, and “Emerald and Pearls”—below, and see Eye and the Arrow perform live at the Hi-Dive Jan 21.
