Eye & The Arrow is a Denver-based trio featuring two members of Paper Bird. The band is set to release the new EP "Ghost Tapes" with a show at Globe Hall on Friday.
Drummer Mark Anderson recently told OpenAir that the record takes inspiration from psychedelic recordings the United States used in the Vietnam War to frighten enemy soldiers.
While the "Ghost Tapes" track "Tiger" might venture into psychedelic territory in its coda, the song is far more enjoyable than the sounds Anderson discussed. It's a midtempo indie rocker driven by Paul DeHaven's tangled guitar licks.
