It's plain to hear why Jonathan Rado of Foxygen has taken The Lemon Twigs under his wing. Like Rado, brothers Brian and Michael D’Addario evoke the classic rock sounds of '60s and '70s with a smooth psychedelic twist.
Rado produced the New York City band's debut album "Do Hollywood," out Oct. 14. The single "These Words" reaches numerous peaks in under four minutes with a combination of funk, boogie and soft rock.
The Lemon Twigs perform at Larimer Lounge on Nov. 5.
