Middle Kids became one of Australia's most exciting new bands with only two singles to its name. The rock trio has appeared on World Cafe and is set to perform at next year's South By Southwest music showcase in Austin, Texas.
The single "Your Love" has plenty of qualities to justify the early praise for the band. The opening jangle-pop guitar chords are reminiscent of The Byrds and R.E.M. Singer Hannah Joy's vocals are equally inviting and formidable, bringing poignancy to lines like: "Sometimes I want to give up on this love, but then I hear you call."
Middle Kids perform Feb. 28 at Denver's Lost Lake Lounge.
