Every rescue is a physics problem, as demonstrated by these drawings at the Rocky Mountain Rescue headquarters in Boulder. "I use my high school physics book to teach people about various aspects of things that we do," RMR's Jeff Sparhawk says. "The physics doesn't change. It's the same stuff. Teaching the new members, reminding the old members, we have to be safe and we have to do things the right way every time."
