Denver’s New Police Chief Faces Immediate Challenges

Denver’s new police chief started earlier this month and already he has a lot on his plate. This week his department tore down the encampment set up by Occupy Denver protesters. Chief White told them they were free to protest, but they were not allowed to camp on city sidewalks. Ryan Warner talks with White about this and other issues he faces, including charges the department hasn’t done enough to punish officers who use excessive force. Some of the questions we’ll ask come from citizens who submitted them through our Public Insight Network.
