Dr. Comilla Sasson is an emergency room physician at the University of Colorado Hospital. She wasn't supposed to be at work early last Friday morning, but she had agreed to fill in for a sick colleague. Then, a gunman opened fire in a crowded Aurora movie theater nearby, and Sasson was at the heart of the emergency care at the University of Colorado Hospital, where twenty three victims were taken. All but one survived, more than half have been able to go home. Ryan Warner talks with Dr. Sasson, who has followed up with some of the patients whose lives she helped save.
