Handy Chapel Named Endangered Place

There’sa little church in Grand Junction with a big story. The Handy Chapelwas built in 1892 and it’s always served as a refuge for the city’s blackresidents.Colorado Preservation Inc. recently put the chapel on its list of endangered places. Ryan Warner speaks with Josephine Dickey, whose great-grandfather helped build the chapel. She and other family members have helped lead the congregation ever since.
