Since January, CPR’s been focusing on the growing disparities between whites and minorities in Colorado. Our series, “Losing Ground,” is a collaboration with I-News, at Rocky Mountain PBS. They combed through decades of census data and found that, in some cases, gaps in income, homeownership, and education are bigger now than during the civil rights movement of the 1960s. For “Losing Ground,” we’re talking to people at the heart of these realities.

Today, we revisit our special broadcast from Mi Casa Resource Center in Denver, whose goal is to help working families, especially Latinos, achieve economic success. Host Ryan Warner dropped in on a class called “Success in Business” ("Exito Para Negocios.") It’s aimed at Latinos who are starting new businesses and at those who want to grow existing ones.
