Strokes are most often associated with older people, but very young children can have them too. There are many unanswered questions about the effects of stroke on kids.

Some children recover quickly while others suffer devastating lifelong problems.

Researchers at the University of Colorado School of Medicine have received a grant to study strokes in children and a new treatment center has opened at Children's Hospital Colorado.

Travis Ewert, whose son suffered a stroke four years ago, and Dr. Tim Bernard of Children's Hospital Colorado, speak with "Colorado Matters" host Ryan Warner.
