School violence liability bill moves to House

A bill to make public schools legally liable for student safety faces its first test Thursday in the House. The bill is a response to recent school shootings and has already passed the Senate.

If the bill becomes law, Colorado would be among the only states to give express permission for victims to sue schools for negligence.
