Setting Rules For Private Space Travel

We’re hearing a lot more about private space travel - for-profit companies that will blast equipment, experiments, even tourists into orbit. But someone has to make sure the spacecraft they build are safe.Turns out the Federal Aviation Administration will have a big role. And the agency has enlisted the University of Colorado at Boulder to help craft some rules. CU Professor Dave Klaus will lead the university’s work with the FAA. Originally aired 10/5/2010.
