"Micro housing" is catching on in Europe and in American cities like New York and San Francisco, where the cost of housing has skyrocketed. And architect Jeffrey Sheppard thinks it has promise in Denver, too, as more young people work and live downtown. He and his colleagues at the Denver Architectural League have launched a competition to design an imaginary housing complex with eight tiny apartments, each no more than 375 square feet. Winners of he Micro Housing Ideas Competition will be announced on May 17.
