State May Ease Up on Juvenile Crime

We’ve been talking about how kids who commit serious crimes are dealt with. Yesterday, our focus was juveniles sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments over whether that’s cruel and unusual punishment Tuesday. Today, we’ll focus on the state legislature, where there are several bills dealing with juvenile crime. CPR’s Andrea Dukakis is back. She covers corrections and juvenile justice for us.
