Chances are, Match.com wouldn't have come up with this pairing: That prim and proper nanny, Mary Poppins, and the evil Penguin, from Batman. But they're the couple at the heart of a new animated short produced by students at the University of Colorado Denver. It's narrated by This American Life contributor Jonathan Goldstein, who also wrote it. The story is called "A Complex Villainelle"... and it's been accepted at three international film festivals. Ryan Warner spoke with Professor Howard Cook, who heads UCD's Digital Animation Center.
