Taft 2012, by Denver writer Jason Heller, is a kind of Rip Van Winkle tale of the 27th president, who goes missing on his last day in office and then mysteriously reappears in time for this current election. The president best known for his size—William Howard Taft weighed more than 300 pounds—becomes a media sensation, and a surprisingly popular candidate. Heller talks to Ryan Warner.
