This weekend, the Denver Music Summit will bring together musicians, music industry professionals and enthusiasts to share ideas and learn about current trends in the music industry. The Summit includes live performances as well as panels to give musicians the professional skills and connections needed to develop their careers.

Another of the acclaimed indie rock musicians who will be in town for the Summit is David Bezan. Bazan quit his coffee shop gig in 1997 and has since been making music as Pedro the Lion, Headphones, and since 2006, simply touring under his own name. He joins morning show host Alisha Sweeney to tell her stories from the road (like hitting a deer in California this fall), cutting out the middle man when it comes to booking shows, and other advice to musicians. Catch David on Saturday evening as a part of the Denver Music Summit panel "The Narrators: Stories from the Road."
Listen to the interview here, and check out Alisha's interviews with other Summit performers Will Johnson and Laura Burhenn.
