Earlier this year, NPR Music launched its first ever Tiny Desk Concert contest. Musicians were solicited to submit videos of themselves performing an original song at some kind of desk for the chance to perform for the unique NPR video series.
Today, NPR crowned Oakland, Calif., artist Fantastic Negrito as the winner for the "Lost in the Crowd" video. Watch it below.
Over 7,000 total videos were submitted to the contest jury which included All Songs Considered hosts Bob Boilen and Robin Hilton, musicians Valerie June and Thao Nguyen and producer John Congleton. A number of those videos were sent in by Colorado musicians, many of whom have performed in the CPR Performance Studio.
