We get a lot of great up-and-coming artists to play for us, but we've also had a fair amount of living legend music veterans too. Among the latter is the great Steve Earle.

In a rare "on the road" performance session, we caught up with the highly regarded and prolific country-rock songwriter up in Boulder, Colo. The quintessential Texas troubadour played songs from his most recent album "The Low Highway."

Keefer spoke to Earle about the influence of the Great Depression and Bob Dylan on his new record, spending most of his life traveling "literally millions of miles," and his new memoir.
