Banana Oil (Liza Holbrook, Ansel Foxley and Maxwell Hughes) performs at The Music District in Fort Collins. Filmed by CPR's OpenAir and CPT12 on Jan. 14, 2017.

We've been fans of the Fort Collins music scene for some time now. So earlier this month we organized a one-of-a-kind Super Session featuring Northern Colorado talent.

Members of SHEL, Edison, Wire Faces and more participated in the event. The musicians split into three separate "super groups," with each writing new, exclusive music for the Super Session.

We filmed and recorded the performances at The Music District, a Fort Collins-based music resource compound, in collaboration with Colorado Public Television. See photos of the event and details on each performance below.

Watch video of Banana Oil -- members of SHEL, Edison and The Patti Fiasco -- perform "Young Blues" above. See more videos below.

Tune in Monday, Jan. 30, at 6 p.m. to hear our Fort Collins Super Session.
