If you’re a classical music fan in Colorado, this is probably the event of the summer: cellist Yo-Yo Ma’s upcoming concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater. The famous musician will play a solo recital, performing Johann Sebastian Bach’s six cello suites. Then there's the granddaddy of classical festivals in Colorado, the Aspen Music Festival and School. A highlight there will be the Symphonie Fantastique. We also talk about Bravo! Vail, where the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, led by violinist Joshua Bell, will play Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber. On tap as well: the Central City Opera with music from Mozart’s “The Magic Flute.”
