At just 4-years-old, Dawson Newby knew he wanted to grow up to race dirt bikes professionally. Newby grew up north of Greeley in Eaton, Colorado. He's now 19 and back in Colorado to race in the 14-round AMSOIL Arenacross competition at Denver Coliseum this weekend. Arenacross races are done on indoor dirt tracks. The quarters are tight, which means it's common for racers to come in contact with one another. Newby, who competes in the races with Team Faith, has described it as, "The closest and most intense bar-to-bar racing you will ever see."

Newby spoke with Colorado Matters host Nathan Heffel.
