Baha’is Work to End Years of Persecution

Three decades ago, Zhaleh Vafai, of Aurora, fled Iran and came to the United States. She’s a member of the Baha’i faith and it wasn’t safe for her in Iran. Her family was under constant threat. Today, Baha’is still face persecution in Iran, the place where the religion started 150 years ago. Now, at the urging of Baha'is here in Colorado, Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman is co-sponsoring a resolution that condemns Iran for its treatment of Baha'is.
