Rossonian's submission to the 2017 Tiny Desk Contest is among the highlights from Colorado artists.

NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts feature artists performing stripped-down sets behind a desk at NPR headquarters.

For the third consecutive year, NPR hosted a contest asking musicians to send videos of themselves playing an original song in an intimate setting. The winner heads to Washington, D.C. to perform an official Tiny Desk Concert.

Nearly 200 artists from Colorado entered this year, and CPR’s OpenAir picked some of the strongest submissions.

Ryan Warner spoke with CPR’s OpenAir music director Jessi Whitten about some of the Colorado entries -- including those from The Other Black, Holden Boyles and Gora Gora Orkestar.

NPR’s contest judges will announce the 2017 winner soon.
