It’s pretty much as Ken Feinberg suspected. From the get-go, the special master to the Aurora Victim Relief Fund said some people would be happy with how he decided to distribute nearly five million dollars in donations, and others would be disappointed. Indeed, his decision Monday drew a mixed response. Feinberg’s used to that, having worked with victims of the 9/11 attacks, the shootings at Virginia Tech, and other mass tragedies.
