That Time UFOs Did Not Descend On Mile High Stadium For Independence Day

Lest you think you saw space aliens plummeting into Mile High Stadium on the Fourth of July, I'm here to tell you that, in fact, it was members of the Thunderstorm parachute team who lit up in the night sky (and were lit up from the ground, as well). I was in the neighborhood and caught the display on my smartphone.

The Thunderstorm, which is often seen at Broncos games, made a skillful landing on the field at the conclusion of a lacrosse match between the Denver Outlaws and the Boston Cannons. (For the record, Denver lit some fireworks of its own on the Independence Day face off, beating Boston 25-11.)
