Michigan philanthropist Betsy DeVos is an ardent supporter of a national voucher plan. Last month, Trump tapped DeVos to head of the U.S. Department of Education. Colorado, and specifically Douglas County, have grappled with school vouchers. The state's Supreme Court ruled the county's voucher program unconstitutional last year.
So what's the chance a national voucher program could be used in Colorado? Nic Garcia is the deputy bureau chief for Chalkbeat Colorado, an education news site. And he says it's possible. He spoke with Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner.
