Singer and guitarist Lindsay Jordan writes and records music as Snail Mail. This year the Baltimore musician released her debut album, "Lush." That record's candid, guitar-driven indie rock has received widespread critical acclaim, and led Pitchfork to call her music "the future sound of indie rock."

More from OpenAir Sessions:

Snail Mail stopped by the CPR Performance Studio before a concert at Denver's Larimer Lounge. She played some songs from "Lush" and spoke with Scott Carney about how films like "Freaky Friday" and "School of Rock" inspired her, taking guitar lessons from Mary Timony of Helium and Ex Hex, and the emotional honesty in her lyrics.
