According to music intelligence platform company The Echo Nest, the people of Colorado listen to New Zealand alternative band The Naked and Famous more than any other U.S. state. By studying the behavior of music fans across hundreds of platforms and millions of songs, director of development platform Paul Lamere determined which artist each state prefers above all others. The results range from fairly obvious (hometown heroes like Bruce Springsteen for New Jersey, Phish for Vermont) to fairly random (Delaware loves Rush, Rhode Island claims Nirvana). Check out the full map from the Echo Chamber, which also includes the ability to contrast the tastes of two particular states or regions.

Producer and former LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy made news twice this week. He will issue the audio from the 2011 farewell LCD Soundsystem at Madison Square Garden as a five LP vinyl box set entitled "The Long Goodbye: LCD Soundsystem Live at Madison Square Garden" on April 19, this year's Record Store Day. Additionally, Murphy released his signature coffee blend, "House of Good," through craft coffee company Blue Bottle. It reportedly contains elements of "dried cherry, cocoa, and meyer lemon" and is available now for purchase.
