2013 was a busy year for long-time CPR Classical host Monika Vischer. She was named program director for Colorado Public Radio's classical service in April, and was also recognized as one of this year’s leaders in arts and culture by The Denver Post editorial board, which awarded her honorable mention in their list of Colorado's top thinkers of 2013 for her work with El Sistema Colorado.

The annual list recognizes extraordinary accomplishments and ideas in several categories, including arts and culture, business, education and technology.

Alice M. Zrebiec, curator of textile at the Denver Art Museum, was the winner of the arts and culture category for her work overseeing the opening of the museum's new textile gallery in May 2013.
