Daruma

DARUMA is a national touring band whose music speaks to the 21st century through a potent blend of improvisation, electronics, driving grooves, and evocative cinematic textures. Their artistry has garnered recognition and funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Mellon Foundation, the Doris Duke Foundation, South Arts, and the Creative Capital Foundation.

The band has toured the US extensively and has been featured on PBS, NPR, and CBS broadcast TV. They look forward to touring Europe in August 2025. Members of the band have performed with leading voices in contemporary music like Theo Croker, Billy Childs, the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Action Bronson, Big Gigantic, and Tia Fuller, at notable venues including Dodger Stadium, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, the Blue Note Amsterdam, and Birdland, and have won ASCAP and Downbeat awards.
