Colorado’s fourth graders showed improvement in math and reading, according to national tests known as The Nation’s Report Card.

Scores in both subjects grew three percentage points between 2011 and 2013.

Eighth grade math scores, though, dipped 2 percentage points, and reading scores stayed flat.

Colorado is one of 19 states with more students at or above grade level than the national average, in reading and math in both 4th and 8th grades.
