The late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs was known to be emotionally complex. He apparently had a temper and you didn't want to get on his bad side -- which arguably makes him an ideal character for an opera.

"The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs" premiered this summer and runs through Aug. 25 at the Santa Fe Opera. The score is composer Mason Bates' first go at opera.

Mark Campbell wrote the libretto, the words that are sung during the opera. Campbell graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver and from the University of Colorado Boulders's Department of Theatre and Dance.
