The National Geographic Channel miniseries "Mars" tells the story of the first people sent to live on Mars in the year 2033.  While the drama is fictional, the program periodically switches to present-day documentaries to highlight the real science being done now to get humans to the red planet.

Bobby Braun is the newly appointed dean of engineering and applied science at the University of Colorado.
