Despite its origins as a folk band, Denver’s Safe Boating Is No Accident has evolved into nothing short of an electrified rock trio. The guys reflected on the transition, their writing style, and the inspiration behind the band’s name when they stopped by the OpenAir Studio. Frontman Leighton Peterson also talked about Denver’s Brass Tree Sessions, an event that he helps organize and film with his housemates in order to showcase local music. Listen to the interview as well as the new songs “Dye My Love” and “This Will Be The One” below.
