Thursday at UMS 2014: OpenAir Kickoff Party, Snake Rattle Rattle Snake, and more

It's Day One of the Denver Post Underground Music Showcase!

Here are some select shows that the OpenAir staff is looking forward to. It's by no means comprehensive, but a great starting point for your day at UMS.

Champagne Charlie takes the stage at 3 Kings Tavern, and Attic Attack plays Illegal Pete’s.

9-10 p.m.

Calder’s Revolvers play the Skylark at 9 p.m. At 10 p.m. Homebody rocks the Hi-Dive, Bloodhound plays Brendan's, and Science Partner wows the Skylark Lounge.

Things are still kicking at 11 p.m. with New Madrid at the Irish Rover, Snake Rattle Rattle Snake at the Hi-Dive and back at Illegal Pete’s you can see why Safe Boating is No Accident.

12 a.m.

A minute before midnight and the UMS is already about to transcend into a second day with Roadkill Ghost Choir at 3 Kings, Eldren at the Skylark, Varlet at the Irish Rover, Anthony Ruptak at the Hornet and In the Whale at the Hi-Dive.

1 a.m.

Just like that Friday starts at 1:00 a.m. with (appropriately enough) Sleeperhorse at the Hi-Dive. Already another great day has started at the UMS!
